Overview

Reality Bytes Media brought cutting-edge virtual reality to Science Alive, South Australia’s premier science and technology festival. Across three days, over 500 people immersed themselves in educational and interactive VR experiences designed to spark curiosity about the natural world and future technologies.

The activation featured a schools-only day, welcoming students from across South Australia, followed by two Family Fun Out Days open to the broader community. Using a rolling system, groups of five participants simultaneously experienced VR, ensuring high engagement and accessibility for large crowds.

Our Role

Reality Bytes Media managed the activation end-to-end, including:

  • Coordinating and delivering VR content tailored to a science education audience
  • Setting up and operating multiple VR headsets simultaneously for maximum throughput
  • Facilitating participant experiences to ensure safety, accessibility, and enjoyment
  • Providing engaging explanations to link VR simulations with real-world science concepts
