Empowering the next generation with immersive technologies

Founded in Adelaide, Australia by award-winning young entrepreneur Cameron Coggins, Reality Bytes Media is a future-focused immersive media company delivering high-impact VR workshops, experiences, and applications. We work with councils, schools, universities, and creative organisations to unlock the potential of immersive technologies — helping young people build digital skills, confidence, and new pathways.

In 2025 alone, we’ve partnered with the City of Mitcham, Marion, Carclew, Flinders University, ILA, and others to bring immersive learning to life. Whether we’re running a hands-on workshop like Headset Heroes or developing a custom VR experience, our mission stays the same: make immersive tech accessible, meaningful, and empowering.

Cameron’s work sits at the intersection of creativity, education, and innovation. His passion stems from a belief that immersive technologies — like VR and AI — can transform how young people learn, create, and participate. He also draws on his own experiences navigating a lack of access to this technology during his schooling years.

Cameron’s efforts have been recognised with several honours, including:

  • University of Adelaide Business School Award for Innovation & Creativity
  • SA Young Achiever Awards Semi-Finalist
  • Royal Australian Chemical Institute Education Prize for Game Development
  • DebatingSA Two-time Debater of the Year
  • SA Department for Education Young Scientist Award Runner Up

Are your VR workshops, like Headset Heroes, a fixed number of days?

Not at all. Our VR workshops are fully tailored to suit your needs. Whether it’s a single-day event, a 3-day school holiday program, or a term-long weekly series, we’ll work with you to find the best format for your audience and goals.

Can we co-design a VR experience with you?

Absolutely. Collaboration is at the heart of what we do. Whether you have a concept in mind or just a goal, we can guide you through the design and development process.

Do you offer programs for universities, businesses, or community groups?

Yes! We’ve worked with schools, councils, universities, and workplaces. We can adapt our workshops and experiences to suit any age group or setting.

We use industry-standard VR headsets (like Meta Quest 3 devices), 360° cameras, Unity software, and spatial audio to create fully immersive experiences.

Do you provide all the equipment?

Yes. We bring everything needed to run the session, including VR headsets, hygiene supplies, and technical setup. You just need to provide the space and participants.

Is VR safe for kids and first-time users?

Yes. We provide clear guidance and supervision for all participants. Our experiences are designed to be accessible, comfortable, and beginner-friendly.
